Political Memorabilia was originally created for the Fall 1988 issue of Exxon Corp’s Vista USA Travel Magazine. It was used to accompany an article on collecting political memorabilia entitled “I like Ike”. The artwork was also used by the foremost private collector, Edmund Sullivan, as a wrap-around cover for his book, Collecting Political Americana. His collection of such artifacts is second in size only to that of the Smithsonian. That body of historical objects now resides in the Museum of American Political Life at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. The work of art was also made into a complex jigsaw puzzle by Bits and Pieces, Inc. What a great opportunity to own the original work of art. This mixed media collage is framed in a 3" filigree gold frame and measures approximately 24" x 36".
